Malouf has always been driven to exceed customer expectations and satisfaction with more options, higher quality, and better support. But behind the scenes is how we build on the promise of being better—and it starts with a B.

We are now a Certified B Corporation®. This means that as a company, we’re concerned not only with revenue, but also with our corporate social responsibility for society, workers, the community, and the environment. We’ve got a triple bottom line: planet, people, profits.

Sustainable business is incredibly important to us, and we are committed in our daily operations. Currently, our Logan headquarters are powered by rooftop solar panels and utilize natural light, with a net zero impact. Our scratch kitchen grows food on the premises, composts food waste, and is moving toward a zero-waste footprint. Our product lineup includes natural and sustainable options like Rayon from Bamboo, TENCEL™ lyocell fiber, and natural latex foams. We compress and roll a large portion of our products for a smaller shipping impact and negotiate returned product into donations rather than re-shipping to a distribution center. Plus, we consciously follow greenhouse gas travel reduction policies, like sharing rooms and limiting in-person meetings to when they are necessary.

But, there’s always room for improvement. We’ve formed an Environmental Sustainability Council made up of employees across departments to evaluate the effects we’re having on our planet. That includes analyzing our packaging for less plastic use, our facilities for ways we can conserve, and our manufacturing to build on our natural and sustainable raw material sourcing.

Our main goal is simple: helping people sleep better. And, we believe the first step toward better sleep is putting people first. We can do that through our unique product lineup and through the Malouf Foundation, which exists hand in hand with our business.

A portion of all proceeds from our products supports the Malouf Foundation’s fight against child sexual exploitation. Plus, employees can donate their skills and time by completing volunteer hours for Charity Time Off, provided by the company.

Above all, we’re still a business, and we exist to make a profit and help others do the same. But, at the heart of our business, there are eight values that guide us: own it, act with integrity, work to win, be kind, be better every day, do more with less, make it fun, and think big picture.

When our employees are happy, they do their best work. Glassdoor ranked us at No. 8 on their Best Places to Work, and we’ve made Inc.’s list for Best Workplaces in 2018 and 2019. Plus, with perks like 100% paid insurance premiums, a daily lunch, and a free wellness program, we continue to make sure our employees are happy and healthy. That means our retail partners and customers receive friendly and effective service, innovative products, and fresh marketing assets—all at competitive prices.

“We know good business comes from good people. That's why we work every day to keep getting better.” —Sam Malouf
