This is dependent on preference. It is important to note that a mattress feel isn't limited to these two categories. There are a variety of options available to you based on your sleep style and personal preference. Typically, side sleepers or those with back pain opt for a more plush option, while those who sleep on their back or stomach will prefer a firmer mattress.

An all-foam mattress is made with (you guessed it) all foam. It create a consistent, sink-in feel many sleepers love. A hybrid mattress combines traditional innersprings with foam comfort layers. Hybrid designs offer more support and may last longer than all-foam mattresses.

Mattresses typically last between 7-10 years, however there are many variables that influence the longevity of your mattress. We recommend using a mattress protector to help extend the life of your mattress.

The best size mattress for each person depends on a variety of factors—room size, who will be sleeping in the bed, etc. A Split King is very popular as both you and your partner can control your own side of the bed when paired with an adjustable base. Yes. All Malouf mattresses are made to be compatible with an adjustable bed base for optimal comfort. They work with any flat foundation without the need for a box spring. Simply place your base directly on an adjustable base, flat frame, or upholstered platform base.

When initiating a return for a Malouf™ mattress, there are a few important guidelines to keep in mind. Firstly, request a return within 100 days of delivery. But, before initiating a return, we ask that you sleep on it for at least 30 days so you can adjust to the new mattress. If after this period you are still not satisfied with your purchase, you may initiate a return. To receive a full refund, you must have the receipt and warranty documentation for the mattress purchase AND you must use a mattress protector during the 100-day trial period. Yes. All Malouf mattresses are compressed and rolled in a box, making them easy to transport to your bedroom upon delivery. Setup is easy—all you need to do is open your mattress and let it decompress for 24 hours before sleeping on it.

The Malouf mattress warranty is available for 10 years from purchase date. Customers must use a mattress protector on their mattress, or it will void the warranty.

The type of adjustable base that's best for you is dependent on your preference and what features you're looking for. If you want massage functionality, you'll want to invest in the M455 or S655 base. If you're looking for head tilt and underbed lighting, the S655 is the best option for you. Zero clearance means that your adjustable base will rest flat on the existing bed frame without the legs attached to it. If you are using an upholstered bed frame that has drawers, you'll need a zero-clearance base, so the legs don't sit inside the drawers. All Malouf adjustable bed bases can function in zero clearance mode.

Zero gravity raises your head and feet to put you in a neutral sleeping position for deeper, more restorative sleep. It is defined as a state of weightlessness and can provide ultimate comfort for sleeping, watching TV, or relaxing in bed.

The E255 has a 750-pound weight limit. The M455 and S655 both have 850-pound weight limits.

The size of your base is dependent on preference and whether you are sharing with a partner. We recommend a Split King option because it gives both individuals full control over the way you sleep and helps you get the most out of your adjustable bed base.

All Malouf adjustable bases come with retainer bars that sit at the foot of the mattress to ensure it stays in place. As you elevate and adjust your base, your mattress will flex and move based on the position you are selecting but will not move off your bed.

Memory foam, latex, and hybrid mattresses are usually the best choice to use with an adjustable bed base, as they are flexible enough to move with your base. All Malouf mattresses are made to be compatible with an adjustable bed.

Setup is easy and can be done in less than 15 minutes per base. We recommend having two people when setting up your base so it can easily be flipped right side up.

Each Malouf adjustable bed base comes with a sleek remote that allows you to control the way you sleep. Yes. All Malouf upholstered bed frames are compatible with an adjustable bed base, for the customization you need for better sleep and style you love. Simply place your adjustable bed base inside your upholstered bed frame without the slats, or for frames with drawers, remove the legs from your adjustable and set it directly on top of the slats.

No, you do not need a box spring. You can place your mattress directly on the wooden slats, or if you are using an adjustable bed base with your upholstered bed, you can place your mattress directly on the adjustable.

We recommend washing your sheets (according to care instructions) weekly to keep your sleep environment clean and fresh. Many customers have two sets of sheets so they can switch on wash days.

Some fabrics can retain heat, but all Malouf protectors are made with breathable fabrics, so it provides the protection you need without compromising comfort.

Yes! We recommend washing your protector once or twice a month, or on an as-needed basis. Follow care instructions to optimize the care for your protector. Note we recommend washing your sheets more often (once per week) to ensure your sleep environment stays fresh and clean.

Pillow loft refers to pillow thickness. Loft plays a vital role in aligning your neck and spine. Low loft pillows are typically around 4 inches or less, mid-loft is 5-6 inches, and a high loft is anything higher than 6 inches. Generally speaking, stomach sleepers benefit from a lower loft, side sleepers benefit from mid-high, and back sleepers can benefit from any of the three.

A good pillow maintains its best quality for about 2-3 years. After that, we recommend replacing your pillow to ensure your pillows are supportive, comfortable, and stay free of allergens.
